hey, i feel kind of strange. i'm cait live in Virginia and slowly (emphasis on slowly) finishing up the last leg of my college education. my boyfriend is at bootcamp right now and is going to eventually be intelligence (sounds so badass). i feel strange though posting on this site. i found this via google and figured maybe i could benefit from joining it. i'm pretty lonely right now; my friends are all art students / musicians so this army relationship is sort of uncharted waters. i'm without really anyone in my life who understands what i'm going through or can give guidance for when things get a little sordid (as i currently have a question like that but really, i'll save that for a post that isn't introducing myself to this world). i'm absolutely in love with my boyfriend, we are both early 20's and would like to eventually settle down with one another but right now, at the very beginning, the road ahead looks long and solitary. i think this site will be good to have- reminders and evidence that relationships do make it out of this trek alive and in one piece.

Welcome.
It's a hard life, but if you love him it's worth it. My husband and I were together before the Navy idea. But I have been with him through it all so far. We are on our first deployment already. It sucks, but it's do able. I hope this site helps for you. It helps for me. But don't try to read deployment stuff til it happens. It'll make you think too much
