Please take a moment to review the terms detailed below. They are relevant to your stay as a member here. If you agree with them and wish to proceed with the registration, proceed with registration. To cancel this registration, simply hit the 'back' button on your browser. You can also click the X at the upper right corner of your browser, run three times around your chair, and squeal like a pig.
Unfortunately, if you do not post an introduction within approximately 48 hours of registration, you will not see much and your account may be deleted at our discretion.
Support on the Homefront (also affectionately referred to as SOTH) is not responsible for any messages posted by our members. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. We are not responsible for any information that is brought to this board from any other sources.
The views expressed by our users may not necessarily reflect the views of SOTH. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact the original poster. If this doesn't satisfy your objections, you can always use the report button, and one of the site’s moderators will check it out. Please report OPSEC violations immediately.
Posts are not deleted on this site. You post it, you own it. This of course excludes OPSEC violations.
You agree through your use of this service, that you will not use this message board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate any law. Thus, we have covered our behinds.
You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this bulletin board.
Anything you say, your IP address, your name, other info, will be surrendered under the law.
If you find someone’s postings to be slanderous, hateful, harmful, demeaning, harassing, or just plain tacky, we ask that take it up with the OP in private messages please.
We have a warning system in place to prevent certain behaviors that we have deemed inappropriate for our forum. To view the warning system rules, you can follow this link
Warning System Rules
We currently have one offense that is considered grounds for being automatically banned. That offense is: Lying in an attempt to garner sympathy or for financial gain is an immediate permanent ban.
Users who are found to be contacting commands, places of work, family, friends, etc. of other members will have their posting privileges removed at our discretion.
Please remember that in addition to OPSEC, there is also PERSEC to be concerned with. Please do not put any information out on the internet that could harm you, your family, or your friends in any way.
If you are unable to post an intro and are deleted, we encourage you to re-register when you do have time to come join us.
Suggestions on appropriate behavior,
*Avoid inflammatory or discriminatory language intended to hurt or offend another member and/or staff.
*Sensitive topics, such as account information should be kept private, including specific personal information. (phone numbers, account numbers, passwords, addresses, etc.)
*Illegal content and inappropriate material will be deleted or modified without notification. This includes content in user profiles, signatures and posts.
*Information about troop movements and other topics covered by OPSEC should be kept off the internet, off your personal Myspace and Facebook page, and OUT of private messages. Please do not put anyone at risk by disclosing troop movements, even if you are talking privately to a friend.
*Disclaimer*
The site and forum moderators reserve the right to modify or delete any inappropriate content on the forums without prior notification. We take no legal responsibility regarding the comments or statements made here by registered members, unregistered members, or guests. Membership is at the Administrators discretion. We reserve the right to make any changes at any time to these Terms of Service or to the site itself without notice.
More information about OPSEC available here: http://www.army.com/articles/item/3305 and here: http://www.ehow.com/...
In order to ensure OPSEC violations are kept to a minimum tickers about your SO are not permitted. No count ups, no count downs. Other tickers such as for birthdays, awesome new movies, weight loss, wedding days, etc. are permissible and we will gladly count along with you. But please no tickers about deployed service members at all. Should you post one it will be removed and you will be notified of the change.
IF you have questions please direct them to any of our moderators. They are here to help you!
THANKS!
